SEASON OPENS TO-MORROW
JUNIOR MATCH ON LiOCAL
GROUND
The Whakaiane Rugby sub-Un-ion's competition opens to-morrow When four senior teams and a similar number of junior teams will be in action. One match is to be. played on the local ground between the Whakatane Star juniors and Ruatoki. The local senior fifteen is to journey to Ruatoki. Waimana plays Taneatua at Waimana, while the same clubs meet in the junior grade the match to be played at Taneat.ua. Rangitaiki Results The Rangitaiki sub-Union's competition opened last week and the results of matches were, as follows : Senior Edgecumbe 7, Pirates (Rotorua) 5. Te Teko 6, Matata 0. Junior Otakiri 3, Edgecumbe 0. Western Drain defeated Te Teko by default. Draw for To-morrow The Rangitaiki draw for to-mor-row is as follows: — Senior Matata v Edgecumbe, at Matata. Junior Te Teko v Edgecumbe, at Te Teko Otakiri v Western Drain, at Ota" kiri.
