BLAZER IN COURT
YOUNG MAN'S MISTAKE REBUKED BY MAGISTRATE A stern rebuke was administered by Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., to a ;young man who appeared to answer a charge in the Hamilton Police Court attired in a college blazer. After the man had stated the name of the college represented by tru* blazer, Mr Paterson said accused knew he had to answer a serious •criminal charge and he had no right to appear in a college blazer. Tt was no compliment to the college, he said. The accused pleaded ignoi-ance of wrong-doing in the matter.
