OMATAROA REPRESENTATION
Sir,—Whilst the ratepayers of the Whakatane County appreciate to the full the service Mr McCulloch is rendering to his country on active service, it is only natural that they should desire more direct representation. However those who have nominated Mr McCulloch seem to have forgotten that Mr Butler had expressed his wnllingncss to stand down for re-election in the event of Mr McGulloch's return. It is quite evident that some of our present sitting members have ludicrous ideas as to tho rights of ratepayers to ideas of their own,, with regard to services rendered after an indefinite period of isolation. However it is a matter which under present conditions will have to bo shown at the poll. Yours etc., TO THE POINT,
