WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
TANEATUA MEETING A band of very busy members of the Taneatua Women's Institute gathered on April 29 at Taneatua to make up and! despatch parcels of useful goods which it wasi trusted would l reach their destination fvafeily. Fifty soldier lads of the TaneatUa district will each receive a parcel individually, addressed. Many thanks g,o to each individual donor and helper in the appeal which was launched for this great cause. . I MEETING AT MATATA The monthly meeting of the Matata Women's Institute was held in the Presbyterian Hall on April 22. Mrs Magee presiding! the meet i tog opened with the Ode to Friendship followed! by the reading of the Aspirations by Mrs H. Withy. The- delegate, Mrs Withy, gave a full report of the Bi-Annual Council meeting. She also informed the members; that the Institute had been successful in winning the Talent Rose Bowl. The competitions resulted: Best bowl of Berries; Mrs H. Withy. Afternoon tea was then served after which a pleasant afternoon was brought to a close.
