Sports Materials for Troops. There have boen numerous enquiries in respect of the provision of sports material at Waiouru and a communication, was received by the local Patriotic Committee on sth March advising that the l National Patriotic Fund Board had made provision for an expenditure 000 for the recreational facilities required at Waiouru Camp and that any supplementary assistance on the outdoor side by way of sports equipment was the responsibility of the Wellington, Taranaki, East Coast, and Hawke's Bay Provincial Councils. In regard to Territorial Camps generally and the provision of outdoor equipment., all necessary indoor pastimes are. being provided by the National Fund Board through the ,Y.M.C.A, out of the Fighting Services Welfare Account and Zone, ex pending should be confined to the provision, where necessary, of outdoor equipment such as cricketing sets, etc.
