BUILDING ACTIVITIES
Sirji—"Anxious" notices with surprise the continued building activities of this town and asks is it pat-., riotic ? What does he want us to do. Sack the building inspector, close up the timber mills l , put builders on. short rations, carpenters on sustenance and button up and live jon. pipis because there is a war on. Maybe Anxious, would go further and close the picture theatres, hotels and stop: race meetings, because the money could be used to win the war. Is there any limit to the desire of some, who make a big noise, so long as it does , not affect their J pockets. Would "Anxious" be agreeable to a stoppage ofc the work from which he derives a crust. Most likely, his patriotism would be dampened a little at such a suggestion* Chaotic conditions can be reached; . without advocating the stoppage of-. , work essential to the needs of the community. "Anxious" should be more anxious to vote o,ut a tax mad Labour Government who are killing. . the goose that laid the golden egg. ; Yours etc., > STUDENT*i ;
