VISIT OF COMMANDERS

WEEK-END ARR ANGEMENTS

The Home Guard of the Wliakatane District consisting of two battalions is to parade atJ Mr L. W. Luxton's farm at Awakeri on Sunday when the District Commander Colonel Aldred', and the Area Commander, Major Herrold'i, will be present and, will inspect the men. Included in the parade will be the Mounted troop and also the area units of the Women's War Service Auxiliary. The parade Avi.U commence tit 10.15 a.m. and in the late moaning a demonstration will be given of platoon in attack. The inspection and march past is timed for 1.13 a.m. after which a short display will be given by the Mounteds. Guardsmen, are asked to wear service ribbons for this ceremonial parade. Visitors attending should make their own arrangement?: for meals, but tea will be available.
