A most valuable and interesting address on the Excess Profit:-! Tax Legislation and its effect on various forms of industry was delivered at MMjrfjfjy's meeting of the; Chamber by Mr T. A, Bridger. The paper on the subject had been prepared by Mr Bridger and Mr C. \Y\ Good, secretary of the Chamber, and was a comprehensive one. At the conclusion of the reading of the paper, -vhich sot forth various examples of how the tux would apply to incomes, it was explained that it was realised that it would be difficult for all to fully gmsp the, meaning of the Act from the material provided, but,, after a number of questions were answered., it was stated: that any member of tiie Chamber who wished to obtain further information could do so by contacting the secretary. , Messrs Bridger and Good were thankccl for the information they had prepared and delivered.
