At Ellerslio Kindergarten won the Easter Handicap,, Night Pilot the President's Handicap, and Sir Cameron the H. O. Nolan Memorial Handicap, these being the three foremost handicap events at that fixture. At Riccarton the Great Easter was taken by another three year old, Kentucky. At Wairarapa Lambourn won the Elaster Handicap on tlve first day and The Monarch the Autumn Handicap on the final day, and at Feilding Alexcelia beat the older horses in the Goodbeliere Memorial Handicap on the final day, when the open sprint was also taken by a three year old, Black Robe. In Australia the Sydney Cup was won easily by the three year old Lucrative in race record time. B. H. MORRIS AS TRAINER WELL KNOWN HAWKE'S BAY ESTABLISHMENT The appointment as private trainer to Mr Frank O'rmond of the well known and successful horseman, B. H. With stake money totalling £5000 to be distributed during the two days of the Waikato Racing Club'ft meeting on May 17 and 10, owners are well catered for, particularly owners of jumpers who will', be found racing throughout the winter season. The To Rapa Steeplechase is the chief event, and carries stake of £750, while the Waikato Hurdles is worth £400.
