OHOPE CLUB FINALS The finals in the Club championship and Handicap matches were played last Saturday, the results being ; —■ Men's Championship : Semi-final: J. White defeated G. Mahy 6-3, 6-4. Final: I, Johnston defeated j. White 6-2, 6-3. Men's Handicap: Semi-final: W. Pearson (x 5) defeated A. Sharman (x 3) 41 1 30. Final: I. Johnston (—10) defeated W. Pearson 41-37. Ladies' Championship: Final; Mrs Jackson defeated Mrs Johnston 6-1, 6-5.
Masks for Iveadlights. With all but the later model cars the fitting of masks to headlights should be a fairly simple business, the use of a clamp around the bowl to hold the mask proving With the recess lamps common to the more modern cars the problem is not so easy of solution, however, as the glasses are not flat but are inclined to the curve of the mudguard. It may be necessary to us'e some form of baffles so that the light projected does not infringe the lighting regulations.
