HOME GUARD
BATTALIONS TO PARADE MODEL PLATOON'S DEMONSTRATION At the week-end the two battalions of Home Guardsmen of the Whakatane area are to parade at Mir L. W. Luxton's farm at Awakeri. Battalion drill is to be practiced m -anticipation of a visit from Colonel Aldred, of Auckland, while the model platoon will also demonstrate a platoon attack. The special platoon had its'final practice parade last week-end at Mr Luxton's farm, while the remainder of the battalion paraded at the Domain as usual. •
