Bigger Orange Groves. With the increasing popularity of Gisborne-grown oragnes of the best varieties, some of the growers in the district are extending theiV' groves in order to cater for the trade. In one orchard alone, between 150 and 160 lemon trees were nut back and orange growth from trees of the best varieties grafted on to the stocks. The grower concerned was partly actuated by his dissatisfaction with the prices paid for lemons under the present marketing system. Last season he cut out 30 lemon trees that, through age, were not producing up to "NO STOMACH TURNS NOW"l
