Thinning-out Measures. The annual volume of statutes for 1940, which is now being issued, shows the influence of war conditions, as it is thinner than any similar volume issued since 1930. The volume contains a new feature, which should prove a decided convenience. This is an index which the Attorney-General has had inserted. The usual' index to the volume is printed' at the beginning and an index showing where to find all the principal Acts at present in force in the Dominion is attached at the end. This feature is to be continued in the annual volumes published ?n future.
