CHANGE OF STABLES Mr E. F. G„ Hinds has placed Three Tens under the carc of M.< Holmes. Now four years old, Three Tens has raced consistently, but has not always been favoured with the best of luck in his races. AUGMENT'S PEDIGREE Augment, the Thompson Handicap winner, is one of the first of the stock of tlie Paper Money horse, Inflation. His dam, Eelspear, who never raced, is by Arrowsmith from Rarama, by Sun Fran from Fairy Gold by Gold Reel, from Nymph by Ingomar, from Wood Nymph by Musket. Arrowsmith was a well-per-formed son of Chaucer and San Fran was a son of Gozo, who sired numerous stayers, including the Melbourne Cup winners, Gaulus, The Grafter and Acrasia.

KENTUCKY IMPROVING Since his transfer to Trentliam Kentucky has made steady improvement and under the care of T. R. George he has lately raced very consistently for three seconds and a win and a third in five starts. Apparently he is not at the end of his possible improvement and his immediate future looks very bright. GLORY OF INDIA DESTROYED While in training at Bombay for the Eclipse Slakes, the Maharajah of Kolhapur's French-bred horse Glory of India was injured and had to be destroyed. Glory of India was none other than Tant Mieux, whq won four of his seven races as a two year old in England and also the Greenham Stakes and Derby Trial Plate. PETER PAN INJURED While cantering in a paddock at the Baroona stud, the famous raceliorse and sire, Peter Pan, broke the boiies in his near fore-knee. The knee was encased in plaster of paria and the leg put into splints. The veterinary surgeon who attended him stated that he would remain in splints for a month or six weeks, but he had no doubt of the bones knitting and the horse's future as a fire would not be, affected. WELL-BRED YOUNGSTER The name Brome has been registered for the rising two year old gelding recently taken in hand by Mr A. D. Potter at Ellerslie. By Gynerium from Version, by Chief Ruler from Request, by Day Comet from Mignon, a daughter of Soult and Lady Emmeline,, this youngster is bred on attractive lines. He is also a well-developed juvenile showing any amount of quality and it would not surprise were he to eventually turn out above the average. RACING DATES CHANGED The Waverley Racing Club toasj been granted permission to change its April 26 date to May 3; Manawatu from June 19 and 21 to June 21 and 23. Wanganui has been granted permission to race at Awapurri on May 31 and June 2. The Otaki Maori Racing Club's Winter Meeting will be held on May 17 and 19, instead of on two separate days, April 5 and May 17. The surrender of April 5 to Wanganui for its autumn meeting was a generous action on the part of the Otaki Club.
