SECOND DIVISION PLAN BALLOT AT END OF YEAR It is proposed to enrol the second division of the general reserve during May, ' said the Hon. R. Semple. This division will consist of all married men resident in New Zealand, aged 19 to 45 years, both inclusive, with a few minor exceptions.

Until a proclamation is issued directing the enrolment of the second division it is not desired that members of such a division should take steps to effect enrolment. It is not anticipated that any ballots will be held over the second division until towards the end of the year.

The precise classification of the division has not yet been determined. Mien who will first be called up for service will be those , who have no children.
