RAGWORT CONTROL

SHORTAGE OF POISON The County Council has received notification that poison for the destruction of ragwort is in low supply, and having only a very small tonnage on hand the council has tlecided not to release any further •supplies to farmers in the meantime. The council has placed an order for 20 tons of Atlacide for the 1941-42 •season. In reply to a question the chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, stated that the ragwort would have to be cut in the meantime, unless some other T?oison suitable was discovered.
