EFFECT OF SHIPPING CONCERN OF FARMERS 1 rt Shipping difficulties and! their , *- effect on organisation of primary production were the ' subject of discussion at da meeting of the local Primary Production Council held on Friday. -a* The discussion occupied ' sometime and resulted in the following, motion moved by Mr J. L. Burnett and seconded by Mr H. C. MoCready being carried unanimously: 2 "That in view of the fact that 3 farmers are now faced with .the 1 ' planning of primary production for , next season and having regard to the serious shipping situation "at j present obtaining, the National Council be requested to immediate- '{ ly contact the Government relative to the elucidation of the general . problems of primary production and distribution during the approaching t*. season and especially in the direction of payments to farmers in the Jij event of little or no produce leav- 3 ing the Dominion through lack of . shipping space." * -1
