TE PUKE v WAIMANA B MORTON CUP The Te Puke tennis club challenged the Waimana B team for the Morton Gup, which they held. After a most enjoyable day's play during the week-end, the challengcvs Avere victorious, winning by 9 matches to 4 and 3 matches were unfinished. The details of the match is as follows, the Waimana names being mentioned first :— Ladles* Singles. Mrs J. Wardlaw lost to Mrs Tanner jQ-6, 0-6; Mrs A. K. Bell beat Mrs Flowers 1-6, 6-5, 6-0; Miss S. Addison beat Miss Fagan 6-5, 6-3; Miss S. Grover beat Miss Spratt 6-1 6-4. Meu's Singles. T. W. Wardlaw lost to W. Pile 5-G, 2-6; M. King lost to Lind 1-6, 1-6; D. Grover lost to Patene 3-6, 0-6; D. Boynton lost to W. Flowers 5-6, 3-0. Ladies' Doubles. Mrs Wardlaw and Mrs Bell lost to Mirs Tanner and Mrs Flowers 2-6. 4-6; Misses Addison and Grover beat Misses Fagan and Spratt G-4, 6-4. Men's Doubles. T. Wardlaw and King lost to Pile and Flowers 4-6, 5-6; Grover and Boynton lost to Lind and Patene 6-3 2-6, 3-6. - Combined Doubles. T. Wardlaw and Mrs .L Wardiaw lost to Pile and Mrs Tanner 2-6, 2-6. The rest of the matches were unfinished.
