W.D.F.U.

TE TEKO BRANCH

On March. 11 a good attendance of numbers gathered for the monthly meeting of the W.D.F.U. and Lady Galway Guild in the local hall. Mrs Jamieson presided, and the meeting commenced with the Women's Creed, after which the minutes of the previous month's activities were read and confirmed. There was very little business to discuss, thus it was quickly dealt with. A highlight of the afternoon's programme was the presentation of two very lovely gifts and all good wishes from members of the Division to Miss J, Jamieson who is shortly to be married and to Mrs 1. J. Watson, who has recently been a bride, both being Division members. The meeting closed with the announcing of the prize winners for the two competitions, the result's being as follows: Best Bloom, Mrs Linsell 1, Mrs Pepperall 2. Best Apple Short Cake, Mrs Goodwin 1, Mrs Jamieson and Mrs Eiwen tying for second place. The Lady Calway Guild then proceeded with its meeting and a quantity of material was cut and distributed for sewhig during the afternoon. A successful afternoon Avas brought to a close AA T ith a dainty afternoon tea served by MesJanies Linsell, Ewen and Foot.
