TANEATUA INVADES
ATTACK REPULSED An invasion cf a band of the gentler sex from the Rebecca Lodge, Taneatua, was repulsed on Monday night when the Centenary Lodge 1.0.0. F. more than held its own. The sounds of battle were heard from afar as the visitors unblushingly endeavoured to kiss Jack —in fact in turn they made, efforts to surround him. However, he was seldom contacted. On the other hand the more muscular element kissed Kitty irequently and during practically the whole evening she surrounded. So it was thus that the 1.0.0. F. retained the United Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling trophy and although proving too adept at the art of sending a bowl away the hosts entertained their guests in fine style and a good time was had by all.
