STATE HOUSES

TEN ALLOCATED YESTERDAY Ten Stat* Houses recently completed in Whakatane were allocated yesterday when the inspector from Tauranga paid a visit to the town. Four of these are to be let this week and three in each of the following weeks. As yet it is not possible to give the names of those to whom the homes have been allocated as the decisions are not final. It is stated that some who have been given first choice will not now desire the houses and thus others will be the fortunate ones.
