'I he Garden Party held in Mrs F. Prideaux's grounds by the WhakaI:tnc IMunUet Society on Thursday was very successful. In spite cf showery conditions, there Avas a large a I tendance and the funds beneliled lo the extent of £11.
A rake, and produce stall under Mrs) Cairns' direction was well patronised and a delicious afternoon lea was served by Mesilnmes Prid-

Com petitions were won as folloxvs: —Cake, Mrs Brebner; Dinner, Mrs Fullarton; Croquet, Mrs Mul-i holland; Taipo. Mrs Jenner; Golf, Mrs D. Paterson.
