FAREWELL DANCE
TROOPS ENTERTAINED LARGE CKOWD AT WINTER' SHOW HALL The whole cf the Whakatane district was well represented on Tuesday evening when the Whakatane Ladies' Patriotic Committee had organised a dance at which to entertain and farewell men now on leave from camp. Soldiers and their partners were the guests of the committee and during the evening presentations were made to the men in khaki of the Borough by Mrs W. Sullivan. Private H. L. Heatley replied on . behalf of the troops extending thanks to the committee and extending best wishes to all.
