AWAKERI BRANCH Mrs E» A. Haullain presided over a meeting of 25 members. As this was the first meeting held for three months there was a good deal of business to be dealt with. This took up much of the afternoon, especially as remits to conference had to be discussed. Mrs Stewart a very interest-, ing and instrura(ve demonstration on the making of cushions and floor rugs from old felt hats. She also showed samples and instructed in Venetian Quilting. Both these demonstrations were much enjoyed by members who showed their appreciation by a hearty clap. Afternoon tea was then served, the hostesses being Mrs Eric Hauttain, Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Luke, Semr. Arrangements then made for the March meeting when the Flower Show is to be held. A Bring and Buy Stall! did very good business The proceeds going to the Library Fund. A dinner was raffled, the winner being Mrs Wickham.
