WARNING TO OFFENDERS

COUNCIL TO TAKE ACTION

Excess speeds of motor vehicles in the County and in particular through townships, was a matter which w r as discussed by the County Council yesterday.

Flagrant breaches of the regulations at Matata and Taneatua townships were quoted and it was unanimous that the council's inspector be asked to watch the position closely and prosecute where necessary. The speed of timber trucks wrs the subject of comment also, and the danger of trailers being insecurely attached mentioned as a grave

danger.
