TANEATUA COMPLAINT The fact that while the Police 'Constable had been away owing to Illness a section of the public had taken advantage of his absence to make a practice of drinking in the -vicinity of the hall while dances were in progress, was subject of a letter of Feibruary 5 from the Tane--atua Hall Committee to the Whakatane County Council. The council decided to notify the police at Taneatua and ask for the necessary action to be taken.
