INFANT FATALLY INJURED KILLED bY TOY A tragedy occurred in Whakalane yesterday when a twe-year-old boy lost his life as the result of a mishap with a toy. The child was Garry Hicks, son of Mr and Mrs Hicks, McAlister Street, Playing with a toy windmill attached to a stick the infant placed >lhe end of his mouth and on falling the sharp end pierced the back of his throat cutting a large vessel. He was rushed to the local hospital, Jjut his life could not be saved.
