NO REPLY YET CHAMBER OF COMMERCE' SPECULATION No reply to the suggestion that the new Post Office be erected on a corncr ojjposite the 'Square' in the Strand has been received by the Chamber of Commerce. When this Avas announced at last meeting Mr Canning ventured the opinion that with the Harbour Board actively .pressing for the site on the corncr of Commerce Street and the Strand, there was little chance of the Department acquiesing to any definite site until the town was unanimous.
