Food Prices in England. Oranges—not good ones—cost fld per lb in England; lemons are practically unobtainable, and still there is no sign of complaint from the people. Eggs sell at the controlled price of 4d, and fo.r a time onions sold at Is 2d per lb. However, the Government had done much to keep food prices within reasonable limits with their control regulations, commented a letter received by Mr Winston Brvce, of Whangarai, from rus sister living in London.
