REGENT \ Screening again to-n : ght and Tuesday "All This and Heaven Too" Bette Davis Charles Boyer, Barbara O'Neill. A masterpiece of screen entertainment. A great treat awaits you. There are very few pictures about which' one can (say, "Here is perfection—perfection that defies criticism, either from a viewpoint of artistry or a value point of entertainment." Such a picture is Rachel Field's story, adapted for the screen with all the faithfulness and accurate detail a great book demands—a love story made the lovelier by the combined genius of Bette Davis and Charles Boyer. The book has sold more, copies than "Gone With the Wind," and the picture is breaking the records recently created by "Rebecca." The greatest tribute that can be paid to a picture is public enthusiasm.
Rachel Field's remarkable story is 'screening to capacity houses at every session wherever it is being presented. The novel about the JQuc and Duchess de Praslin and their charming capable .governess, Henrietta Del iizv, has been widely read. Those who enjoyed it will fmel that the Warner Bros has made it inta an eloquent and poignant film. Charles Boyer, who plays opposite Miss Davis as tin Due de Praslin. gives one of his best displays of straight acting to date, and no audience can deny the perfection of his interpretation. As for Miss Davis, she is superb—and more could not be said of any actress.
