The catering at the forthcoming A. and P. Show will be carried cut by the ladies of the Whakalane Patriotic Committee. Show patrons are reminded that by attending the booth they will be assisting the ladies to raise their fund quota.
SENT TO WRONG PERSON
y_A strong National Party supporter in the North Island was astonished recently to receive addressed to her from New Zealand Labour Newspapers, Ltd., a certificate for one •share in that company. She had given or subscribed nothing; and the certificate must have readied her by some error or confusion. Nevertheless, she wonders how so valuable a» arti(?l'share certificate of face yas sent out so faultily addressed that it could he delivered Lo the wrong person. The envelope bore her surname with
rut initials, and the name of, the town, without street or house, number. The holder's name appeared in the same style on the ■which was endorsed New Zealand labour Newspapers, Ltd., of issuing shares to those whose names av>pear on lists of subscribers to an aopcßl made before the formation •of the company, is not a normal o«ne, though not unknown.
