AN APPRECIATION
Sir,—On bchnlf of suffering humanity at the Makogai Leper Station we wish to thank most warmly all those who responded to our appeal for extra comforts. Altogether the magnificent sum of £5200 was received in cash, and numerous cases of useful goods. We have communicated with t'he Medical Superintendent and have advised him lo conserve much for future years on account of the un— certain times through which we are passing. With the exception of a small cash donation given to each patient at Christmas time all of this money is spent in New Zealand to purchase special comforts for distribution to the 607 patients on various occasions year. We would like to tflie this op-* portunity.
