WAIMANA DANCE

PRESENTATION MADE A most enjoyable dance was heM in the Waimaua Hall last week. The function being arranged by the young folk and-members of- the Patriotic Committee, The music for dancing was played by Mr A- Wardlaw,, Miss M. Wardlaw, A. Bell, Mr G. Wardlaw, Mr M. Burke and Mrs King,, all taking a.turn at the piano. The novelty dances were much enjoyed. Mr A. Wardlaw capably acted as M,C. The married ladies served a most enjoyable supper, after which Mr N. Macdonald called upon Mr and. Mrs King to come forward and receive a gift from the Patriotic Committee, in appreciation of services rendered during the patriotic dances. Mr and Mrs King supplied voluntary music for the majority of the dances held. Mr King responded and thanked the Patriotic Committee for the gift which was nutch appreciated. 1-Ie stated it was always, a pleasure to Mrs King and himself to help wheneveT they could for such efforts. All present joined in singing "For They Are Jolly Good Fellows-" Mrs, King then opened the box whichi contained a set of tumblers ami water jug. Dancing was continued until a late hour.
