SMALL TE TEKO YARDING
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports a smaller yarding of cattle at T'e Teko on Monday with prices on a par with the late rates. Heavy l'at cows made from £6 10s to £7 18s; medium fat Jersey cows from £4 15s to £5 12s 6d: lighter cows and heifers from £4 to 24 10s; cull cows from £2 to £3 15s; jpoityer bulls from £4 to £9 2s 6d according to Aveight; 18 months Ayrshire Jersey Cross heifers £6 ssi to £6 A total clearance was effected. OPOTIKI PIG SALE Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual fortnightly pig sale at the Opotiki sialeyards on Monday, 6th January when a full yarding of all classesi of pigs came forward. BaConers of which large numbers came forward, sold at slightly easier than late rates. Competition was keen for store pigs and values were firm. Realisations:
Top Aveight baconers £4 to £4 6s>; heavyi weight baconers £3 17s to £4; lighter baconers £3 8s to £3 10s; heavy porkers £3 to £3 10S; lighter porkers to £3;, large stores to £2 l|ss: small stores to £2 10s; choppers to £3 17s; slipsi to 355; AA'eaners to 22s 6d.
