RANGITAIKI CRICKET
REP. TRIAL MATCH The Rep. trial match held last week-end to try out players for representative honours, did not produce any outstanding batting or, bowling figures, but nevertheless the team selected below should give a good account of itself. The scores were:— "B" Team 10!) runs Goile (33 retired) and R. Thompson (22 retired) v "A" 76, Haultain being chief scorer with 16. Several others reached double figures on both sides. Anderson ("A") 5 wickets for 33 runs, Gillam 4 for 20 and Chard 3 for 10 were the most successful trundlers. L. R. Spring scored 9 runs and bowk'd 5 overs (3 ens) for 3 runs (no wickets). There will be no competition games this week-end as the rep. team is travelling to Rotorua,. The rep. team is as follows:— L. H. Spring (Capt),, R. Rae, Goutts, E. Cliard, R. C lei and, T.Anderson, A. Grant, J. Goile, A. Higgs, B. Hulton, W. Johns, t«. Gillam.
