PAROA DEFEATS TANEATUAj The Cljprk Shield game between Paroa and Taneatua resulted. ( in a close Avin for the former team by 76 runs to 69. The game, was played at Taneatua and was keenly contested throughout. Cleland, 36 not out, batted well for Paroa, and also claim ed 4 wickets for 12 runs, a good all round performance. Goile (15) and T. Grant' (12) also reached double figures, while Fitc-hctt, with 4 ,wicets for 26 runs, did well. Taneatua's top scorer was Neal (19), with Peebles (14), Higgs (10) and Sykes (10) also gaining double" figures. Shaw with 5 wickets or 18 runs was the most successful bowler.
