FARQUHAR—PARKINSON .On .Saturday, December 7th, St. George's Church, Wliakatane, was the scene of a very pretty wedding when.Ella Janey, youngest daughter of Mrs Z. Parkinson and the late Mr A. E. Parkinson, was married to Kextli Milton, eldest son of Mr and Mrs M. Farquhar, of Taneatua. The Rev. S. G. Caulton officiated and Mrs Fraser presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law, Mr A. T. Shirley, looked charming in a panelled gown of ivory lace with high neckline, the skirt falling to form a slight train. The tulle veil., Avhich was worn over the bride's face as she entered the church, was caught to the head with a topknot of orange blossoml. She carried a shower bouquet of St. Josephs lilies and carnations. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Monty Farquhar, sister of the bridegroom, who looked very dainty in a picture frock of pale green sprigged organdie with pink topknot and carried a bouquet of gladioli and dahlias in pink tonings. The bridegroom was assisted by his brother, Mr Alan Farquhar as best man. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's mother. Mirs Parkinson received her guests wearing u frock of hyacinthe blue sheer crepe with navy hat and carried a posy in pink tonings. Mrs Farquhar, mother of the bride groom, wore a frock of navy georgette with navy hat and shoulder spray of pink and white roses. When the happy couple left on a short honeymoon the bride travelled in a navy costume and veilled toque with a skunk stole., the gift of the bridegroom.
