MONTHLY MEETING
MATATA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE The monthly meeting of the Matata W.I. was held in the Presbyterian Hall on Friday, December 13 at 2 p.m., Mrs Caverhill presided over a fair attendance and welcomed all members and visitors. was musical, Mrs H.i Burt and Mrs Smith taking an. active part. Competitions resulted: Best Flower: Miss Burt 1, Mrs Bagby 2 and 3. Xmas Gift: Mrs Smith 1 and 2.
Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Ansell. Caverhill, H. Burt and Miss Burt.
TANEATUA BRANCH MEETING
The months meeting of the Taneatua branch, W.D.F.U., was held recently, Mrs Hill presiding over a good, attendance of members.. It was decided "to hold the Autumn Flower Show in March on a date to be fixed later. Mrs Hill wished all the members Christmas greetings and these were reciprocated by Mrs Mitchell on behalf of the members. u
Competitions -were as follows:— Lemon Cheese: Mrs Bennett Mrs Hill 2. Flowers, Single: Mrs Prince i, Mrs Alexander 2, Mrs Yeoman r lowers, Double: Mrs Mitchell 1. Mi' s Alexander 2, Mrs Yeoman 3. H were Mesdames "Hill* '••> - 1 - \ and Peebles.
