ANNUAL BAZAAR
FINE WEATHER FAVOURS PRESBYTERIAN FUNCTION A GOOD ATTENDANCE Contrasting with last year, when heavy rain compelled an indoor event, the annual bazaar staged by Whakatane Presbyterians on Saturday was favoured with a brilliantly fine day. • Opened by the Rev., H. Hogg, the bazaar, held in the Church grounds, attracted a good attends anee throughout the day, the result being almost , a total clearance by all stalls. Luncheon and afternoon tea arrangements were in the care of a hard-working band of ladies and the various stalls were controlled as follows: Girls' Auxiliary, Misses C. Scholiekl and R. Caraway; Busy Bees, Mrs H. Drube and D. Stewart; Sweets, Mesdames H. Young and S. K. Schofield; Ice Cream, Miss N. Cutler; Cakes, Mesdames J. Patterson and Piatt; Plain Sewing, Mesdames Baxter and Garaway; Fancy Sewing, Mesdames Wheeler, Dixon and Brassey; Produce, Mesdames Moore, Hogg, and Hall; Xmas Tree, Miss S. Donaldson. -
