WOMEN'S DIVISION

AWAKERI BRANCH MEETING The November meeting of. the Awakeri Branch W.D.F.U. was held recently in the Awakeri Hall, Mrs E. A. Haultain presiding. It was decided to liokl the December meeting one week earlier, on December IS/ and to take the form of a social afternoon to which members are invited to bring along friends. It was also decided to hold a bring and 'buy stall, proceeds-<of which to go to the Library Fund. If sufficient support and interest was forthcoming members and all those interested were advised that dressmaking classes would commence in February. A competition was won by Mrs 1 Dodunski. Mrs Kerr gave a very interesting travel talk on North Auckland at the conclusion of which she received a vote of thanks. Competitions for the month were Collection of Biscuits: Mrs Butler 1, Mrs Fowell 2. Best Flower: Mrs N. McDonald 1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs Fowell .'3. Afternoon tea served .by. Mesdames Butler and Maunder brought the afternoon to a close.
