THE HORTICULTURAL SHOW

COMPLYING with the Prime Minister's exhortation to darry on as much as possible with the normal fuctionings of life, the Whakatane Horticultural Society will hold its annual flower show in the Parish Hall on Tuesday, November 19. As usual the show will extend over two sessions, afternoon and evening, and the classes furnish a wide range of divisions for floral displays. Gardens in and about Whakatane are looking particularly well just now and there appears to be no reason why there should not be a first class show. In addressing the public and urging its support, we have no hesitation in pointing out that it is the duty of all citizens to patronise the exhibition, which this year should have an even wider appeal in view of he fact that all nett proceeds go to the Patriotic Funds.,
