LIQUOR CHARGES

CONVICTIONS RECORDED Charged with procuring liquor whilst prohibited and with enter : ing licensed premises during the currency of his prohibition order, Eruera Rewiti, known as Ned Davis, pleaded guilty to both counts when he appeared before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M.j yesterday. Following the outlining of the circumstances by Sergeant M. Farrell defendant said that a wet day had prevented him from going to work. He had had a few beers but must have been very drunk to commit the breaches because he did not make a habit of entering licensed premises. Rew r iti was fined £2 and costs on each charge.
