EDGECUMBE ANGLICANS

NEW CHURCH FUND

SPECIAL DANCE THIS EVENING For the past twelve months the projected building of a new church has been exercising the minds of the Church of England community at Edgecnmbe. The matter lias been given the fullest consideration and a body of enthusiasts are now busily engaged in exploring ways and means of raising funds. The latest effort is the special dance to be held in the new Edgecumbe Hall this evening. Nothing has been spared to ensure that this function will be outstanding in every respect and one of the main features will be a supper contributed by the local ladies; a "Home-made" supjjer in every respect. Edgecumbe Anglicans have in th: past been more liberal in their support of Whakatane. functions and it is felt that the occasion this evening warrants the fullest co-opera-tion and support from the public in this end of the. district.
