AT THE TABLE
BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETS ROUTINE BUSINESS CONDUCTED The Whakatane Borough Council held its monthly meeting on Monday evening, His Worship the Mayor occupying the chair. Councillors S. S. Shapley, A. J. Canning, G. G. Caisley, J. G. Mul hoi land, A. Hall, G. Otley, W. Sullivan and C. W. Good were at the table. Routine business, including the presentation of the reports of the Electrical Engineer, the Borough Foreman, the Inspector and the Sanitary Inspector; the adoption of the Works and Finance Commit-' tees' reports, Avas conducuted, other matters dealt with including an application for approval of a subdivision; application to build in a brick area; account balances; the purchase of a mower and the subject headed, "Going into Committee."
