AIR ALARM MEASURES
Several big London stores have decided to close at 4 pan..daily, until further notice, to enable their staffs to get home before the nightly; alarm Some West End. shops have installed divans where sales girls from badly bombed areas can sleep and be ready for work next morning. Some firms are offering to accommodate any members of their staffswho are homeless. Cinemas now open until 9 p.m. Only three legitimate theatres have decided to remain open. One is play-' ing matinees only, ariother is underground, and the third is a small variety theatre. '.J* .
