Mr Grif- - fiths has six sons serving in /the Forces and has joined the Local Defence Volunteers. Mr' Griffiths, who w:as an Army chaplain in the last "war, has been severely criticised by some residents for becoming a parashpt. *He is by virtue of his office a non-combatant and would probably - cry 'Sacrilege' if the Germans bomb- - ed his altar, " said one critic. The fighting parson, however/ is not perturbed by thesie criticisms.. His answer is: "If Hitler wins this • war he will have no use for my profession. Theerfore, my first task is torn alee sure he does not win. I shall! shoulder a gun." Three of Mr Griffiths' sons are in the R.A.F. One of them piloted a * . Wellington bomber during the evacuation of Dunkirk. His machine:was struck by a shell but he broughtr it safely home. ,
