Fish and Game. No more than half a million trout fry are held at the Ngongotaha hatchery at present as stripping operations finished earlier this season, and liberations are consequently advanced. Liberations were made last week of 80,000 fry in Lake Okataina. Most of the activity at the StatQ Game Farm is now directed towards the eraring of pheasants and ducks. Some mallard ducklings have been hatched while another 150 eggs are in the incubators.
