CHEERFUL AND GENEROUS GIVING THE SERVICES OF THE ; LADIES Cheerful and generous giving characterised the street appeal conducted in the Strand on Friday for ;the combined Auckland orphanges -and the sum raised,-£36 19s 3d, was •an indication tfrat appeals for war purposes have not robbed people of that desire to give freely for other urgent causes* Acknowledgment must be made of ithe very fine services rendered by the willing band of lady collectors ■•and thanks and commendation are vdue to Mesdames F.
