OHOPE TENNIS CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING HELD AFFILIATLON QUESTION The annual meeting of Hie Ohope Tennis Club drew a good attendance of members and prospective members last Thursday evening, Mr G. Maliy occupying the chair. Following the president's report and the adoption of the statement of Receipts and Expenditure, which' showed a satisfactory credit balance, the election of officers resulted as follows:—■ Patront Mr E. Runnerstrum. President: Mr G. Maliy. Secretary and Treasurer: Miss T. White. Club Captain: Mr* J. White. Ladies Captain: Mrs G. Jackson. Committee: Mrs T. Robinson and Miss E. ,Connolly, Messrs A. Sharman, D. McDonald and K. Goodwin. It was decided to hold the opening day on Saturday, October 12th. and to extend inyitations to the Methodist and Presbyterian Clubs. The question of affiliating with the Bay of Lawn Tennis Association provoked a short discussion, it being finally agreed that it be left to the committee to carefully investigate the advantages or otherwise of such a step, and to obtain fuller information from the Association.
