EXHIBITION IN PARISH HALL GREAT INTEREST EVINCED An exhibition of views of- the mountains, lakes and -waterfalls of New Zealand, to have a four weeks season in YVhakatane, was opened last Saturday in the Parish Hall by Mr George Finn, of Auckland. In addition to the scenic record there was an extensive display of world-famous cartoons, scrap-books of local interest and other historical matter. These included photographs and records of famous New 1 Zealanclcrs; a compile gallery of representative Rugby football teams dating from 1884; racehorses from Carbine to Defaulter; yachting and other sports; wedding groups and autographs from the 14th century, etc. The exhibition was highly appreciated and "The Highways and ByWays of New -Zealand," to be presented next Saturday, should attract a large attendance. Mr Finn, who is well known as the founder of home separation of cream in New Zealand and the pioneer advocate of herd testing, lias been collecting his pictures for the past fifty years and lias an extensive collection to select from and the exhibitions, as well as being entertaining, are highly instructive.
